Jobshadowing en Forssa (Finlandia)

Soy profesora de inglés en el IES Jándula, en Andújar. Gracias a la acreditación Erasmus +, el profesorado y alumnado de nuestro centro tenemos la oportunidad de solicitar becas para mejorar nuestra competencia comunicativa en inglés en el extranjero, así como conocer nuevas culturas y costumbres. En septiembre de 2022, desde el 11 hasta el 16 de dicho mes, emprendí mi viaje a Forssa, en Finlandia. Realicé un "Job Shadowing", que consiste en "aprender mirando". Para ello, me metí en las aulas con el alumnado mientras se daban clases, y realicé entrevistas al director del instituto, profesorado y alumnado para saber más sobre el sistema educativo finlandés, cómo tratan el tema de la inclusión y las adaptaciones que llevan a cabo con el alumnado de necesidades educativas especiales.

Wednesday 14 Sep: 

Interview to some students to ask them about how inclusion and special needs are worked on.

Aunque sí es cierto que los resultados académicos finlandeses están muy por encima de los nuestros, hay algunos aspectos muy similares en ambos sistemas. Tras entrevistar a varios miembros del equipo educativo y del alumnado, hemos descubierto que allí también tiene profesores/as de apoyo para aquellos alumnos con necesidades especiales. Asisten con ellos a las diferentes clases y adaptan las pruebas escritas a su nivel. 

En este centro de Forssa, los resultados son muy positivos, pues allí "la criba" se realiza cuando terminan primaria. Desde edades muy tempranas, ya van enfocando sus estudios hacia su futuro profesional. 

Otro dato muy curioso es que aunque solo un alumno/a eliga una optativa, se oferta y la cursa. De hecho, en una clase de francés tan solo había dos alumnas. Allí no se exige un mínimo de alumnos/as para poder ofertar y cursar una signatura.

Antes de realizar un "Jobshadowing", hay que realizar un "Mobility agreement" con las tareas a realizar antes, durante y después de la movilidad. Aquí tenéis un ejemplo con las tareas realizadas para esta estancia.

Tasks of the participant before, during and after:  BEFORE: The participant will take an active part in the project: 1. Cooperative work of the teachers who travel and the coordinator of the hosting school for the development of the work program, times and which classes are going to be visited, groups, their structuring, schedule, types of activities... 2. To make a work schedule together with the hosting coordinator. 3. To prepare documentation and annexes to be signed between the two organizations.  4. Language preparation (conversation, oral and written expression, oral and written comprehension). 5. Documentation work on the reception center: methodological lines, educational projects and others that can they are useful to us. DURING: This period includes time for cultural training and time for training through direct observation at the Finnish School. Collection of information in a diary, photographs, videos… of activities carried out and results obtained: 1. How do they work, organize their troops, what are their plans like, the coordination between the teaching staff? 2. Attention to diversity measures 3. Observation of daily practice in the classroom. 4. Involvement of families in the life of the centre, ... THEN: 1. Writing a report on the experience. 2. Presentation to the rest of the staff team about the experience, what we have observed and learned in a way that invites them to initiate debates and initiate changes in the work with students. 3. To upload photos and videos on social media 4. Participation in dissemination events on the Erasmus+ experience to which we are invited. 5. Completion of the official documents.

Competences to be acquired by the participant:  1. Greater capacity to operate at a European level, our center has initiated contact with other educational realities. You go with whom we can coordinate for future Erasmus+ projects 2. Greater motivation among teachers, more satisfied with their daily work. 3. Identify mobility with learning. 4. Linguistic update. 5. Acquisition of new ideas, as well as new teaching resources and school organization. 6. Adaptation of materials from another country and another culture for our students. 7. Appreciation of the culture of Finland 8. Learning simple phrases in Finnish.9. Ability to transmit new didactics to the rest of the colleagues.
